Welcome to the
Church of the Holy Cross.
Pittsburgh's
African American Episcopal Parish.
Welcome to the
website of the Church
of the Holy Cross.
As Pittsburgh's
only predominantly African-American parish
in the Episcopal
Diocese of Pittsburgh,
Holy Cross provides a unique worship experience that combines the
pagentry
and tradition of Anglican worship with the unique richness and power of
the African-American Church.
The
Church of the Holy Cross is a proud member parish of The
Episcopal Church
and is committed to remaining within that church and
supporting
it financially as well as prayerfully and in any other way as the Lord
dictates.
We
are a friendly and open church that welcomes ALL people
that seek to do the will of our Lord Jesus Christ within the
Homewood-Brushton community. In 2008, our building was
selected
as a Historic Landmark by the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks
Foundation.
Consider
this your invitation to come and worship with us. If

Cruce Salus
This
blog exists to provide
news and information about events occurring at Holy Cross as
well
as information about the events occurring in the Diocese of Pittsburgh
as they pertain to Holy Cross.
This Website is dedicated
to the memory of Margaret J. Clark, longtime Lay Minister and member of
the Church of the Holy Cross.
